Taker Of Death,

Let me be sincere
My mind is here
But you make it unclear
Where our bodies should be
Do they deserve to stay alive
When their sole purpose is to deprive
Us of what little we have?
Call me anything aesthetic
So I feel less pathetic
For not saying what is meant
I knew you would regret it
When you finally got to hear
That you embrace my heart
Without being here
Even as you hold me so near
I cannot feel you anymore
No pity from your mind
No tears to render us blind
You, being the only soul I ever saw
Makes me wish I never swore
That there was nothing wrong
But all daydream long
I have been crippled by a fear
Which scares me more than falling
One day you will stop calling me dear
And I shall not know where to belong.
